Abstract

This article focuses on the definitions of working time in the context of jobs associated with the home help services sector. Two main points are highlighted in the paper.. The division of working time between a "productive" time and a "non-productive" time nourishes both a public and a private strategy aiming to lower the cost of labor, hindering women's status on the labor market. Such a division also contributes to a radical change in the content of work and services.
