Abstract

Cette contribution s'intéresse au processus social par lequel les objets naturels acquièrent le statut de ressources économiques, appropriables et échangeables.Dans une perspective néo-institutionnaliste, elle analyse les implications de ce processus pour l'étude des problèmes de choix collectif en matière de conservation du vivant. L'analyse prend appui sur une revue de littérature et sur une illustration empirique constituée par le cas de la pêche baleinière.
