La multifonctionnalité en quête de légitimité

Abstract

La multifonctionnalité marque un changement de cap fondamental de la politique agricole commune. Elle définit pour l'agriculture des fonctions économiques et sociales nouvelles ou repensées. Toutefois, ce modèle européen d'agriculture d'espace rural suscite des interrogations sur la scène internationale, notamment de la part des pays neufs ou des pays en développement. Il semble que la reconnaissance et la valorisation de ce concept nouveau d'agriculture passent désormais par la définition précise et rigoureuse de ses fondements économiques.
