Abstract

La certitude d'être surveillés ne semble mettre aucun frein à la facilité avec laquelle nous nous confions aux réseaux numériques. Pour quelles raisons ? Voici déjà quelques dizaines d'années, la mise en place par l'État français du fichier numérique Edvige centralisant de nombreuses données personnelles à usage policier souleva de virulentes protestations. Deux affiches avaient alors retenu mon attention. Sur la première, on pouvait voir : " En lisant cette affiche, tu cours le risque d'être fiché ! " La seconde disait : " On gueule contre EDVIGE, mais on est tous sur Facebook ! " Et tel est bien le paradoxe qui accompagne l'extraordinaire succès de la communication mobile, des réseaux sociaux et de manière générale de tous les usages du numérique. On n'a jamais autant fait l'apologie de l'autonomie procurée par ces technologies et, dans le même temps, multiplié les alertes contre la traçabilité de nos déplacements, de nos navigations et du contenu même de nos communications.
