Abstract

La France ne fait pas exception : dans la plupart des pays d'Europe, le célibat agricole est plus important que dans les autres catégories sociales. Faibles revenus et conditions de travail difficiles contribuent à faire baisser le mariage ou le concubinage des exploitants agricoles. Ce n'est pas irrémédiable car dès que l'exploitation agricole atteint une certaine taille économique les agriculteurs concernés se trouvent à égalité avec les autres professions "indépendantes" (commerçants, artisans,...)
