Abstract

We wish to contribute to both disciplines Information and Communication Sciences and Management Science by analyzing the impact of information and digital technologies on organizational strategies. We use two methods, the five forces of Porter and the matrix of change, to carry out this diagnosis. The first method is used to determine the organization's competitive environment. The second method is used to anticipate the interrelations between actual and forthcoming organizational practices. Our case study concerns the digital transformation of an intermediate-sized company. We analyze the changes of organizational practices while facing a competitive environment and the digital variability.
