Paris Région PhD : accompagner la transition numérique par le doctorat

Abstract

Si le diplôme de PhD est une référence à l'international, son équivalent dans l'Hexagone, le doctorat, n'a pas encore l'aura qu'il mérite sur le marché de l'emploi français. Il s'agit pourtant d'un vecteur potentiel d'innovation et de développement économique. Sa valorisation constitue ainsi un leitmotiv des politiques publiques de l'État français. L'un des actes récents de cette reconnaissance réside dans l'inscription en 2018 de ce diplôme au Répertoire national des certifications professionnelles (RNCP), la base de données qui liste les diplômes reconnus par les entreprises et les compétences qui y correspondent. Facteur de compétitivité, le doctorat intéresse également les collectivités locales, d'autant que l'enseignement supérieur et la recherche s'ancrent de plus en plus dans les territoires. Porté par HESAM Université, le dispositif « 1 000 doctorants pour les territoires » en est une illustration. Il vise notamment à inciter les régions, villes et départements à recourir plus souvent aux Conventions Industrielles de Formation par la recherche (ou CIFRE). Encore plus récemment, une autre initiative témoigne de cet intérêt du monde territorial : « Paris Région PhD ».
