Abstract

On voit aujourd'hui se développer très largement la consommation de produits biologiques, mais bien peu, parmi les producteurs et les consommateurs de ces produits, ont le temps d'approfondir leur démarche et d'asseoir leurs pratiques, leurs intimes convictions ou leurs réflexions personnelles dans un cadre historique plus large. C'est ce que nous propose cet ouvrage jeter un regard sur le passé pour prendre la mesure et l'ampleur des principes sur lesquels l'agriculture biologique repose, des idées qui ont soutenu son essor et qui fondent son altérité radicale, et de la révolution mentale qu'elle exprime dans le rapport de l'homme moderne à la nature. Dans ce manifeste, Matthieu Calame préconise l'émergence de l'agronomie biologique comme champ disciplinaire.
