Abstract

Depuis une vingtaine d'années, dans un contexte de normalisation face à une concurrence internationale croissante, les établissements académiques sont soumis à des évaluations . Cet article questionne le rôle de la culture dans les différentes phases de ce processus académique institutionnel . Notre recherche participante dans quatre cas d'évaluations académiques au Royaume de Bahreïn (Péninsule Arabique) et en France (Europe) montre que les processus d'évaluation sont similaires au niveau formel . Or, les cultures nationales jouent un rôle primordial dans la réception et les retombées de cette évaluation . En conséquence, dans ces deux pays, ses résultats s'expriment de manière très différenciée .
