Abstract

Les associations s'appuyant principalement sur une main d'œuvre bénévole sont considérées comme une alternative au modèle classique. A la différence des salariés, ces individus proposent librement une aide sans contrepartie financière et sans lien de subordination au sens juridique du terme. Les bénévoles ont un statut à part mais leurs actions sont comparables à celles des salariés. Ce phénomène questionne la relation particulière qui se noue entre le bénévole et son association. Cette communication a pour objectif de proposer des profils de dons/contre dons afin d'éclairer la fidélité organisationnelle du bénévole à son association. Pour cela, la théorie du don/contre don (Mauss, 1950) est mobilisée. La problématique est la suivante : en quoi les profils de dons/contre dons des bénévoles expliquent leurs types de fidélité organisationnelle? Un questionnaire est construit avec ces trois échelles de mesure et est diffusé aux bénévoles de la Croix-Rouge et de l'Armée du Salut. La collecte de 311 réponses et la technique des nuées dynamiques ont permis de mettre au jour trois profils de bénévoles : « les combattants », « les hédonistes » et « les indifférents » .
