Abstract

En France comme au Brésil, les agricultures paysannes et familiales ont longtemps voulu se distinguer par leurs caractéristiques physiques liées au système productif. Cependant, chaque pays connaît une évolution où des pratiques de multifonctionnalité choisie se présentent à la fois comme une revendication et l'affirmation d'une différence : accueil à la ferme, micro-industries de transformation, circuits de vente directe. Le Brésil et la France entretiennent des liens suivis dans ce domaine, qu'il s'agisse de la réflexion croisée dans le domaine scientifique (SYAL Systèmes agro-alimentaires locaux) ou des relations entre organisations paysannes : le Brésil est par exemple le deuxième pays d'implantation d'Accueil Paysan. Ce texte vise à mettre en évidence comment la recherche de viabilité pour les agricultures paysannes et familiales parvient à la conclusion d'un intérêt stratégique reposant sur les mêmes principes de valorisation des circuits courts alimentaires, mais avec des modalités de mise en oeuvre radicalement différentes en France et au Brésil.
