Abstract

Summary By innovative modeling (stochastic Petri nets with predicates, virtual age model), old GRTgaz studies proposed alternative periods of preventive maintenance actions supposed to reduce the frequency of undesired events and costs. However, this work ruled out others aspects : industrial safety, human and organizational factors, obsolescence etc. The development of a Risk-Based Maintenance (RBM) approach is an interesting alternative to a planned preventive maintenance. In fact, RBM aims to adapt the maintenance to the risks and reduce costs.
