Abstract

Video-protection is a way of control chosen by companies to protect property and employees. The implementation of a control technology raises questions on acceptance or rejection of video-protection by collaborators. Past experience of employees as an individual factor of acceptance made sense during the study. The theoretical approach is based on the literature on the theories of adoption of information systems : the interpersonal behavior theory : Triandis TCI model (1980), the UTAUT model (Venkatesh, Morris, Davis and Davis, 2003), as well the theories of learning (Piaget, 1935 ; Bruner, 1958). However, these theories don't give enough information about past experience. We tried to broaden this theoretical approach while interesting us to the role of past experience in the acceptance of video-protection as control technology. Past experience of the employees she influences the acceptance of video-protection in the company premises ? This paper presents the results of a qualitative study of three f ields between 2012 and 2016. This research extends the literature with the identification of different forms of past experience facilitating the acceptance of video-protection by employees. The mentioned past experiences are related to : fear, experience a risky industry, used cameras at a previous experience.
