Abstract

La recherche porte sur les business models mis en œuvre par les acteurs du secteur des logicielsopen source. Dans ce secteur, certaines pratiquesbouleversent les théories classiques du management stratégique (ouverture des données, innovation communautaire, gratuité). Enparticulier, l'Open Source Innovation (Chesbrough, Vanhaverbeke, & West, 2006) appelle de nouvelles conceptions pour identifier les différentes stratégies de captation de la valeur dans ces conditions extrêmes de collaboration et d'ouverture.Nous proposons une typologie de l'industrie du logiciel en général, et de celle du secteur open source en particulier basée sur la constitution d'une base de données de près de 350 logiciels, quelques entretiens exploratoires et un focussur six logiciels représentatifs dans notre BDD nous permettent ensuite de qualifier plus précisément unmodèle caractérisé par de nombreuses hybridations dont notamment celles liées au processus de création de valeur.
