Abstract

Le fait de traiter de la famille, de la politique et de la religion dans un même chapitre n'est pas sans fondement dans la mesure où la famille a été pendant longtemps et reste sans doute le principal lieu de reproduction (ou de transformation) des comportements. On sait aussi à quel point ces trois domaines ont été liés dans l'Ouest à travers également la question scolaire. Cela étant, il n'est pas question d'ignorer la spécificité de chacun, et l'unité de ce chapitre repose d'abord sur son thème qui est d'identifier les changements et les permanences, les ruptures et les continuités. On entend tenir à cet égard des propos souvent contradictoires, mais les études réalisées dans le cadre du programme d'observation du changement social et culturel permettent de tenter un bilan.
