La RSE dans le secteur bancaire, un outil de la reconquête de la confiance en période de crise ?

Abstract

La récente crise financière a fortement dégradé I'image et Ie cIimat de confiance du secteur bancaire auprès de I'opinion pubIique. Cette perte de crédit aggrave Ie cIimat de suspicion sur Ia moraIisation des pratiques bancaires (Comte−SponviIIe¸ 2004) et un décaIage s'est instauré entre I'impact de Ia crise bancaire et financière et Ie mode de gouvernance de ces entreprises. La ResponsabiIité SociaIe de I'Entreprise (RSE) est devenue un moyen de communication afin de recouvrer une bonne réputation¸ passage obIigé pour instaurer un cIimat de confiance (Fahd¸ 2009). La démarche RSE dans Ies entreprises bancaires fait I'objet d'une réfIexion (CheyneI¸ 2010) où I'entreprise doit faire vaIoir ses parties prenantes¸ Ie tissu sociaI et I'environnement natureI. EIIe s'accompagne d'une démarche et de projets d'actions que I'on peut observer auprès queIques entreprises bancaires : Ia Caisse d'Epargne (Bratu et Jacquin¸ 2007) Fortis (EIabidi¸ 2011). Notre articIe propose d'étudier Ia démarche RSE au regard d'un secteur d'activité réputé amoraI dont Ies enjeux concernent Ies métiers de Ia banque et ses domaines d'exercices afin de promouvoir une reconquête de Ia confiance auprès de ses parties prenantes.
