Abstract

In training, the challenge is to combine a high level of reflective analysis and to prepare for professional practice. This tension between knowledge and practice can sometimes generate major discrepancies, notably when taking up a new position. To support this transition back to professional life, a health care manager training institute organises a one-day forum bringing together young managers, students and trainers. This sharing of experiences has proved beneficial, although the pedagogical model could be further improved.
