Abstract

La 4e de couverture indique : "Le choc démographique est, pour le plus grand nombre, associé à un déclin irréversible. Les sociétés seraient ainsi incapables de surmonter ce handicap majeur qu'est le vieillissement de leur population. Il n'en est rien disent en choeur les économistes réunis dans cet ouvrage collectif. Encore faut-il changer de perspective, dénoncer les idées reçues et proposer des réformes de fond que la France, dans l'idéalisation de son modèle social aujourd'hui plus que grippé, peine à envisager. Cette vaste réorganisation exige du courage. Il ne s'agit pas moins que de reformuler un nouveau contrat social intergénérationnel, modifier en profondeur la structure du marché du travail, du logement, ouvrir l'horizon avec des systèmes de formation, de santé et de retraites revisités dans leur principe comme dans leur fonctionnement. Un ouvrage lucide et audacieux pour sortir de la pensée "décliniste" très en vogue de nos jours et une boîte à outils pour en finir avec ces impasses françaises si bien décrites, si peu combattues."
