Abstract

La théorie des parties prenantes (TPP) est aujourd'hui une référence dans le monde académique. Mais, en définitive, les travaux de Freeman ont surtout marqué un point de départ et ouvert un débat en stratégie qui perdure encore. Ainsi, aujourd'hui, le développement de la TPP est largement autonome des écrits de Freeman. Toutefois, comme toute théorie, ses fondations, sa construction et son déploiement dans le champ managérial sont l'objet de critiques. Ainsi, associée à une diversité des usages de la TPP, s'ouvrent des débats relatifs à l'existence d'une théorie (approche unifiée) ou d'une multiplicité des théories (divergence des paradigmes), à une utilisation globale (simplificatrice) ou focale de la théorie (naïve) par le management et aux véritables limites d'une théorie emprunteuse qui se renouvelle en intégrant de nouveaux champs et en s'ouvrant sur des champs connexes.
