Abstract

This article examines conditions for using methods based on the theory of social representations in the context of student-teacher relationships. Within the theoretical structural perspective of social representations, the author aims to clarify these questions of teaching didactics by examining questions of economics often considered a socially significant. He proposes the hypothesis of the existence of representations-knowledge systems in knowledge needed prior to school learning. The author studies the possibilities that this learning offers, the conditions required, and the application to the area of social knowledge. Examples are given from works on the teaching in economics in the French school system.
