Abstract

Après avoir grandement participé à une meilleure compréhension des cultures de consommation et des projets identitaires liés (Arnould et Thompson, 2005), la Consumer Culture Theory ferait face au besoin de mieux intégrer des influences macrosociales et le « contexte du contexte » pour éviter une tendance parfois marquée au subjectivisme (Askegaard et Linnet, 2011). L'intérêt pour notre champ de la sociologie à l'échelle individuelle proposée par Lahire (2004a, 2013), qui analyse les variations intra-individuelles des pratiques dues à la constitution de patrimoines de dispositions hétérogènes activés ou non en contexte, est ici discuté en ce sens.
