Abstract

Les Opérations Extérieures (OPEX) françaises occupent une place importante dans l'actualité internationale avec leur multiplication récente et les opérations Harmattan en Libye, Serval au Mali, Sangaris en République Centre Africaine ou Barkhane au Sahel, pour ne citer que les plus récentes. Très récemment, la France a engagé le Porte-avions Charles de Gaulle contre le groupe Etat Islamique Daech, en appui aux forces de l'armée de l'air déjà présentes en Jordanie et aux Emirats Arabes Unis. Si « partir en OPEX » tend aujourd'hui à se banaliser, ces opérations ne sont pas sans conséquences économiques. En proposant un regard chiffré sur les OPEX françaises dans une perspective historique, cet article s'inscrit dans une littérature économique quasi inexistante sur le sujet.
