Abstract

Le rachat d'actions est devenu une technique courante de gestion des capitaux propres. Plusieurs raisons expliquent le recours à une telle opération qui est présentée souvent comme une manière de réallouer le capital financier aux secteurs les plus porteurs. Ces raisons ne semblent pas être les mêmes au fils du temps. Les résultats de cette étude montrent un comportement différencié des firmes qui rachètent leurs propres actions selon la phase du cycle de vie de l'entreprise.
