Abstract

A travers cet ouvrage, c'est la question de la mobilisation en milieu rural qui est posée : pourquoi s'engager dans un groupement villageois ? Et si cette approche n'était qu'un mythe ? Sous le couvert de l'idée d'une certaine solidarité africaine, de nombreux projets d'aide au développement en milieu rural (et pas seulement d'ailleurs) sont déterminés à être portés par des groupements (villageois). Il s'agit de regroupements, spontanés ou suscités, d'individus autour d'une activité censée améliorer leur condition de vie. A partir d'une enquête de terrain, cet ouvrage, recherche en sociologie et anthropologie des sociétés contemporaines, donne à voir les principes de justification de l'engagement (individuel et/ou collectif) aussi bien des développeurs que des développés autour de cette stratégie. Le livre s'adresse aux praticiens du développement, mais aussi aux enseignants et chercheurs en sciences sociales et économie du développement. Toutefois, il saurait également assouvir la curiosité de tous ceux qui s'intéressent aux actions de développement en Afrique.
