Abstract

Trois ans après la reprise, l'Amérique latine connaît une croissance vigoureuse en 2006 : 4,8 % après 3,9 % en 2005. Ceci ressort comme une belle performance au regard des dix dernières années (à peine 3 % de moyenne annuelle). Bénéficiant d'un environnement international toujours très porteur, la région est parvenue à consolider la demande domestique et à poursuivre les ajustements en cours. Entraînés dans ce cercle vertueux, certains pays sont plus avancés que d'autres et donc davantage confrontés à des tensions inflationnistes que les gouvernements doivent gérer. Or, c'est là qu'apparaissent les différentes orientations de politique économique entre une gauche radicale (Venezuela, Bolivie, Equateur, Argentine), une gauche plus centriste (Brésil, Chili) et des gouvernements plus libéraux (Mexique, Colombie). Néanmoins, la stabilité financière dans la région demeure et les perspectives économiques pour 2007 et 2008 sont favorables. [Premier paragraphe]
