Abstract

Après les attentats du 11 septembre 2001, le prix du baril de pétrole qualité Brent est resté aux alentours de 20 dollars jusqu'au début du mois de mars. La baisse a été de près de 25 % par rapport aux trois mois de l'été 2001, et de 35 % sur un an. Ce bas niveau a reflété la politique très accommodante de l'OPEP qui a accepté momentanément un prix inférieur à l'objectif qu'elle s'était fixée (...).
