Toutes les trajectoires se valent-elles? Schémas Cognitifs et succès de carrière

Abstract

Le paradigme dominant considère les carrières comme des trajectoires gérées par des sujets autonomes à la recherche du succès subjectif. Il néglige l'influence des contextes et des régulations sociales qui limitent et donnent forme aux trajectoires. Ce texte s'intéresse aux limites plutôt qu'aux carrières " sans frontières " et propose un modèle socio-cognitif du succès de carrière. Il explore l'influence des schémas cognitifs sur les succès subjectif et objectif. Trois études de cas sont présentées. Les trois cas étudiés ne diffèrent ni par leur âge, leur sexe et leur formation initiale. L'examen de leurs trajectoires et leurs satisfactions, très différentes, permettent d'illustrer comment les différences de schémas contribuent à expliquer les différences de succès. Les schémas cognitifs sont décrits grâce à une technique originale de cartographie cognitive. Les résultats permettent de discuter la place des normes organisationnelles.
