Abstract

Traceability is well recognised in system engineering as an inevitable step for guaranteeing product evolution. However, project team members are reluctant to adopt traceability or do not get all the expected added value as the mass of information that is produced is generally too large. In this work realised in an industrial context, we propose a solution which helps project stakeholders in identifying the subset of information to trace in such a way to maximise added-value and minimise usage cost. The proposed method relies on calculating the rate between cost estimation and value estimation of all traceability requirements so that to select an optimal traceability model. This method continues previous work on MV-TMM traceability meta-model and uses AHP prioritisation method.
