Abstract

Ecouter Bruno Latour est toujours une expérience qui évoque une phrase de René Char : " J'aime qui m'éblouit, puis accentue l'obscur à l'intérieur de moi. " L'exposé de Bruno dans l'Église de Smyrne de Göteborg, le 7 juillet 2011, ne fit pas exception : nous en sortîmes éblouis, et tous renfoncés dans notre nuit. Reassembling the social étant en vente au comptoir d'Oxford University Press, juste devant la salle de notre track, Nils et moi en fîmes tous deux, quasi religieusement, l'acquisition auprès de David Musson. Faute de la bonne formation, engoncés probablement que nous sommes dans nos habitudes intellectuelles, l'Actor-Network-Theory (ANT) reste profondément mystérieuse pour nous. Un chercheur qui se dit positiviste, constructiviste, interprétativiste, réaliste critique, ou même poppérien de base, voire agnostique du paradigme, peut-il faire son miel de l'ANT, et si oui, en quoi ? La réponse qui sera donnée est la suivante : l'ANT peut être vue comme quelque chose de très simple et profond, une technologie de la description, ce qui peut paraître peu mais est en réalité fondamental, et concerne donc au plus haut point tout chercheur en sciences sociales.
