Abstract

La scène énergétique mondiale, européenne et française est en train de vivre plusieurs bouleversements institutionnels et économiques qui auront des répercussions sur les choix techniques et le développement des filières : privatisation et ouverture des marchés de l'électricité et du gaz à la concurrence ; modification des termes de la compétitivité relative entre filières de la production électrique, en particulier entre le gaz et le nucléaire ; grandes manœuvres industrielles autour des services énergétiques, mêlant les grands opérateurs classiques à de nouveaux venus ; premiers pas d'une prise en compte pratique du risque climatique planétaire résultant des émissions de gaz à effet de serre, avec ses contraintes pesant sur la croissance admissible de la demande et ses effets sur la hiérarchie des sources d'énergie.
