Internationalisation, diversification et performance : Une analyse sur les groupes du CAC 40

Abstract

Si la littérature a amplement traité des effets de la diversification et de l'internationalisation sur la performance, en considérant ces deux dimensions séparément, l'impact de leur combinaison a été très peu étudié. Parmi les quelques études empiriques menées sur cette question, le postulat dominant tient dans le rôle modérateur de l'internationalisation sur le lien « diversification-performance ». Les auteurs tentent de valider cette hypothèse dans le contexte français, la quasi-totalité des travaux réalisés portant sur des entreprises anglo-saxonnes. Les tests non paramétriques d'une étude menée sur les groupes du CAC 40 traduisent la supériorité économique de la diversification liée seulement pour les profils les moins internationalisés.
