Abstract

Cet entretien vise à préciser la nature des ambiguïtés de la relation d'aide aux personnes, avec une attention spécifique portée aux clochards de la région parisienne. L'interviewé, à la fois anthropologue et psychanalyste, a en effet suivi cette population pendant plus de quinze ans et ainsi approfondi une clinique de l'extrême. Dans un premier temps, il décrit la psychopathologie des clochards et le syndrome de désocialisation, puis la fonction sociale qu'ils remplissent avant de s'attaquer aux démarches soignantes empreintes d'humanisme apparent, qui masquent en réalité la peur de l'autre dans son irréductible différence. D'où l'échec et les méfaits du système d'aide mis en place et les pièges dans lesquels tombent les soignants insuffisamment formés cliniquement. En précisant sa posture d'esthétisme entomologique, Patrick Declerck veut redonner à la neutralité bienveillante sa valeur humaine la plus profonde.
