Abstract

A propos du livre de d'Ahrne GORAN et de Brunsson NILS, Meta-organizations, Cheltenham, UK and Nothampton MA, USA, Edward Elgar Publishing, 2008. Ce livre analyse un phénomène qui est présent à nos yeux, sans que nous le voyions vraiment. Une méta-organisation est une organisation dont les membres sont non pas des individus mais des organisations : ainsi le Medef, la Fifa, L'Union postale universelle, l'Otan (mais aussi pensent les auteurs l'Union Européenne) sont en ce sens des méta-organisations. Elles peuvent prendre des noms divers : ligue, association, fédérations ,confédérations, club, etc. Le fait de les regrouper dans une même catégorie constitue déjà, en lui-même, un apport théorique, mais les auteurs des Méta-organizations, vont plus loin : posant les fondations d'une véritable théorie, ils mettent en lumière leur spécificité et le caractère paradoxal de leur fonctionnement.
