Abstract

L'integrazione europea è una "storia di successo", come dimostra l'incremento nel tempo del numero di Stati che hanno deciso di partecipare al progetto comunitario. L'ultimo allargamento ai paesi dell'Europa centrale e orientale, a Cipro e Malta, sebbene correttamente definito "senza precedenti", si colloca all'interno di un processo avviato con le prime domande di adesione presentate nel 1961. Questo volume, a cui hanno contribuito studiosi di tutta Europa, prende in esame i successivi allargamenti e li analizza attraverso una pluralità di prospettive e di approcci disciplinari.
