Abstract

L'objet de cet article est d'étudier les relations de causalité entre le développement démographique et la croissance économique, en France, depuis 1950. Dans un premier temps nous présentons la méthodologie économétrique. Dans un second temps, nous analysons nos résultats. Notre thèse centrale est de montrer, à travers l'analyse de la matrice démographique, l'importance de la classe la plus jeune pour la dynamique économique, ainsi que ses implications en terme de politiques économiques, démographiques et familiales
