Abstract

Frieder Meyer-Krahmer (55) wurde im Februar dieses Jahres zum Staatssekretär im Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF) berufen. Er studierte Mathematik, Wirtschaftswissenschaften und politische Wissenschaften in Heidelberg, Bonn und Frankfurt. Nach seiner Promotion 1978 an der Universität Frankfurt forschte er im Jahre 1982 an der Yale University (USA). Meyer-Krahmer habilitierte 1989 an der Universität Stuttgart und war von 1990 bis 2005 Leiter des Fraunhofer-Instituts für Systemtechnik und Innovationsforschung (ISI) in Karlsruhe. Seit 1995 hatte er einen Lehrstuhl für Volkswirtschaftslehre mit Schwerpunkt Innovationsökonomik an der Universität Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, Frankreich inne. Herr Meyer-Krahmer, bevor Sie ins BMBF kamen, leiteten Sie 15 Jahre lang das Fraunhofer-Institut für Systemtechnik und Innovationsforschung in Karlsruhe.
