Abstract

Chaque année, le CEPII publie dans la collection « Repères » des analyses inédites des grandes questions économiques mondiales. L'économie mondiale reste suspendue aux évolutions sanitaires de la pandémie de Covid-19, en quête d'un après que les réponses à la crise vont sérieusement modeler. Des impulsions décisives se font jour comme le plan Biden et l'amorce d'une refonte au niveau international de la fiscalité des entreprises. Verra-t-on pour autant la fin du dumping fiscal ? L'endettement public a très fortement augmenté. Saura-t-on le (di)gérer ? Le bon guidage de la politique économique de ces prochaines années sera crucial. Saura-t-on déployer les investissements publics nécessaires pour sortir de la stagnation séculaire ? C'est aux banques centrales aussi d'innover. Feront-elles l'économie de vieilles grilles de lecture, comme la fameuse courbe de Phillips ? Verdiront-elles suffisamment leur politique monétaire pour lutter contre le changement climatique ? Contiendront-elles l'essor des cryptomonnaies privées avec leurs projets de monnaie centrale numérique ? Les compléments statistiques situent les données récentes dans une perspective longue.
