Abstract

The number of resignations, the rejection of bullshit jobs, distrust of large companies, a preference for teleworking, the rehabilitation of manual activities, mid-career reorientations: questions about the meaning of work have never been so numerous. The pandemic has provoked a debate on 'key' workers, who are nevertheless paid less and considered less than the 'top of the class'. As for the ecological crisis, it requires us to reorient our jobs. At a time when management by numbers has invaded both the private sector and the civil service, it is crucial to question the content and purpose of our professional activities. There was a time when the main purpose was to get a job. Today, the priority may well be the meaning of work. This is where a revolution is taking place, driven by new social demands and ecological challenges.
