Abstract

Cet ouvrage est issu des conférences prononcées lors du Centenaire de l'école pratique de service social, d'inspiration protestante. Une première partie s'attache aux valeurs de responsabilité, d'éthique et surtout de responsabilité qui fondent cette école; avec en particulier un article magistral de Bubérot sur la laÏcité. La seconde partie traite des associations et de la transformation du travail social, la troisième partie du rapport au territoire. Cette ouvrage souligne l'importance et la cohérence de la pensée protestante qui a toujours adhéré aux valeurs de la République dès ses origines, sans oublier son rôle essentiel pour inscrire dans la loi la liberté d'association alors que la philosophie de Ricoeur anime les institutions contemporaines
