Abstract

Construit dans le champ des politiques de lutte contre la pauvreté le RMI garantit un minimum de ressources et l'accès à des droits sociaux. Ce faisant, il cherche à favoriser l'insertion professionnelle et sociale des personnes couvertes, à travers plusieurs mécanismes de suivi ou d'incitation, tels que le contrat d'insertion ou l'intéressement.Apprécier les dynamiques d'insertion des allocataires du RMI à partir de leurs trajectoires permet de dépasser une opposition trop simple entre les deux situations cardinales de « maintien » et de « sortie » du dispositif etla pérennité des sorties, dans un contexte économique et social marqué par une instabilité accrue des situations professionnelles et familiales qui induit des phénomènes de recurrence. On a ainsi un éclairage complémentaire sur les liens que ce dispositif entretient avec le marché du travail, au-delà de son objectif premier de lutte contre la pauvreté.
