Abstract

Lors de la COP21 à Paris en décembre 2015, près de 200 pays ont consenti à l'objectif d'aligner les flux financiers sur une hausse des températures inférieures à 2 °C par rapport aux temps préindustriels, soit + 1,5 °C. Banques, assurances, gestionnaires d'actifs et autres fonds d'investissement se veulent désormais acteurs des mutations profondes que la transition écologique exige. Mais le simple « verdissement » de leurs portefeuilles et bilans auxquels ils se sont engagés suffira-t-il ? Ce numéro spécial témoigne d'une prise en compte encore très partielle des contraintes environnementales et climatiques dans les approches macroéconomiques et financières. Il donne à voir les évolutions institutionnelles indispensables pour répondre aux enjeux soulignés par les scientifiques du climat et de la biodiversité : entre innovations radicales et régulations des acteurs financiers historiques, le système monétaire et financier doit opérer un véritable changement de paradigme.
