Abstract

La contrainte de temps qui s'impose à tout agent économique s'accompagne d'une valeur positive du temps disponible. Son estimation est opérée par une généralisation du modèle d'allocation de Becker au cas d'un coût d'opportunité du temps propre à chaque agent. Diverses applications sur données françaises et américaines sont discutées au niveau microéconomique pour expliquer les choix des ménages et au niveau macroéconomique lors de la conception des politiques publiques.
