Abstract

" Objective - The paper describes leisure activities and the non-profit sector in the field of leisure, the division of non-profit organizations, the definition of associations, marketing, and promotion of non-profit organizations. Methodology - The research investigation is carried out through quantitative content analysis. We analyzed 1301 offered activities, which we further categorized. We carried out the analysis online using the Interactive Map of the Non-Profit Sector, which we supplemented by research on the websites of the Czech Union of Sport, Sokol, Orel, Pionýr, Junák – Czech Scout, the Brontosaurus Movement, and others, and by searching on individual websites. Furthermore, a questionnaire survey was used, where we contacted 280 associations electronically. Findings - The return rate was 35%, and 98 respondents willingly completed the questionnaire. The research aims to analyze selected leisure facilities' current supply and demand. According to the obtained data, it is possible to state whether the leisure activity of the mediated association is pervasive and versatile. The research revealed specific gaps in the market. Other goals of the research are to find out what leisure facilities and services they provide, to reveal whether the selected leisure facilities also provide activities in the online environment and whether there is interest in the given activities on the part of the participants, to find out the methods of promotion of the selected leisure organizations and to determine the factors that, according to the selected leisure facilities affect the demand for leisure activities. Novelty - Recommendations are presented that could ensure increased demand for leisure activities, including the use of modern technologies, which can also attract a large number of new interested parties, especially younger age groups, in the areas of programming, website creation, prevention of cyberbullying, cyber grooming, sexting or in the development of the ability to recognize disinformation within comprehensive digital competences. Type of Paper - Empirical"
