¿Saliendo del agro? Empleo no agropecuario, conectividad y dinamismo rural en el Perú (1994-2012)

Abstract

El estudio analiza las condiciones económicas y geográficas que determinan la relación entre la dotación de activos públicos en conectividad rural (caminos y telecomunicaciones) y los cambios observados en el empleo no agropecuario que ha caracterizado al dinamismo rural de las últimas dos décadas. Se analiza el impacto de cuatro condiciones: variables de contexto regional (altitud, ruralidad y otras), atributos locales (capital humano, sectores de dinamismo local como agroexportación, minería y otros), conectividad (extensión de vías y activos de telecomunicación) y proximidad a centros urbanos. Para ello, se estiman cuatro modelos de corrección de autocorrelación espacial (SLM, SEM, SDM y CO), que permiten relacionar la variación intercensal observada en el nivel de empleo no agropecuario con las condiciones descritas a nivel de distritos, controlando por la estructura espacial de los datos.
