A economia da Semana de Arte Moderna de 1922

Abstract

Este artigo investiga a Semana de Arte Moderna de 1922 do ponto de vista da Economia da Arte. As definições formais de arte tendem a ser de dois tipos: funcionalistas e convencionalistas; com a definição convencionalista possuindo similaridades com o equilíbrio de Nash e seus múltiplos resultados. A Semana de 22 é coerente com a definição convencionalista, no sentido de que é possível ter interpretações distintas sobre seu valor artístico. E uma interpretação é que a Semana de 22 foi uma maneira de introduzir a visão modernista para a elite paulista – visão esta que já estava presente no Rio de Janeiro desde a primeira década do século XX.
