Governança pública: a evolução do tema na OCDE e as diretrizes para o Brasil

Abstract

O tema da governança pública é um tema que chegou à OCDE nos anos 1990. O Comitê de Governança Pública foi criado em 1996. Desde então, a OCDE tem dado especial destaque a esta área, uma vez que entende que um governo eficiente e que gerencia bem seus recursos devolve à sua população melhores serviços públicos. Este texto busca explicar a evolução do tema na OCDE, sua perspectiva quanto à boa governança pública, suas áreas de atuação e os instrumentos jurídicos disponíveis para incentivar seus membros a cumprirem com suas diretrizes sobre governança pública. Por fim, indicar os temas e valores pelos quais o Brasil terá de passar para aceder à OCDE.
