A OCDE e a governança corporativa de empresas estatais

Abstract

A Organização para Cooperação e Desenvolvimento Econômico (OCDE) foi fundada em 1961 com o objetivo de promover o desenvolvimento econômico, melhoria do padrão de vida populacional e expansão do comércio mundial de forma multilateral. A organização atua por meio de estudos e debates realizados por seus membros que abordam uma ampla gama de assuntos, posteriormente elaborando normas e diretrizes promovendo as melhores práticas. Dentre estes assuntos, uma temática importante é a da governança corporativa de empresas estatais, sendo objeto de três normas não vinculantes, porém, com grande efeito moral. O Brasil não é um membro pleno da OCDE, porém é um parceiro-chave atuante em seus grupos de estudo. Das três normas que versam sobre a governança corporativa em estatais, o país aderiu à apenas uma delas.
