Abstract

Após Fazer uma Revisão do Conceito de Crescimento Econômico como um Processo Histórico Iniciado com a Revolução Capitalista e a Formação dos Modernos Estados-Nação, o Autor Procura Mostrar que o Crescimento é Quase Sempre Constantemente o Resultado de uma Estratégia de Desenvolvimento Nacional. o Real Desenvolvimento Econômico Ocorre Historicamente Quando as Diferentes Classes Sociais são Capazes de Cooperar e Formular uma Estratégia Efetiva para Promover o Crescimento e Enfrentar a Concorrência Internacional. Segue uma Discussão das Principais Características e das Tensões Básicas que Tais Estratégias Enfrentam nos Países Centrais que Primeiro se Desenvolveram, e nos Países Subdesenvolvimento, Que, Além dos seus Problemas Domésticos, Enfrentam Desafios Maiores em suas Relações com os Países Ricos
