Abstract

La cuarta entrega del Observatorio de la Dependencia se enmarca en un escenario más estable de pandemia y con un balance más favorable respecto de los informes anteriores que cubren 15 años de Ley de Ayuda a la Dependencia. En esta nueva entrega destacamos dos aspectos de notable relevancia presente y futura. Por un lado, la notable reducción de las listas de espera, con una cifra actual de 195.000 personas pendientes de recibir prestaciones, un 50% menos respecto del pico máximo registrado en diciembre 2015 (385.000 personas). Por otro lado, el aumento de la partida para dependencia en los Presupuestos Generales del Estado que previamente había sido congelada, debido a la prórroga presupuestaria, en 2019 y 2020 hasta alcanzar 2902 en 2022, el doble de lo presupuestado en 2018.
