援助氾濫と経済成長：クロスカントリーデータによる分析

Abstract

本稿は、援助氾濫が援助の経済成長促進効果を阻害するか検証する。実証分析では、Roodman (2007a) が構築したクロスカントリーのデータセットを用いて、援助と成長に関する標準的な計量モデルを採用し、結果の頑健性を確認している。より具体的には、ドナー集中度指数をドナーの氾濫度の程度を把握する代理変数として用い、さらに援助との交差項も説明変数に加える。内生性バイアスの可能性を適切に除去した上で最も信頼性のある実証結果は、援助氾濫が被援助国の経済成長に負の影響を与えるという仮説を支持している。
